Barron

I would like to introduce you to a dog named Barron! My dog loving Dad adopted Barron and his mate a few years ago.  Since then, Barron has lost his mate due to cancer. Now unfortunately, my Dad has Parkinson's disease and lives in an assisted living community.  He is unable to live alone or care for Barron.  My wife and I took in Barron to our San Jose area home in September 2008 and have had trouble finding the time to provide Barron with enough social interaction and exercise that a Collie needs.  We both work full-time and want to be fair to a sweet dog.  It is our wish to find Barron a loving home for the remainder of his years.  He is a spry 10 year old rough collie. Just before Barron was brought to live with us he needed some TLC.  A year ago Barron had a tooth pulled, teeth cleaned, fox tails removed from between his toes, was neutered, and a trip to the groomers was in order.  He has been feeling fantastic since getting all of that taken care of.   He has been to the groomer since then every couple months and is on regular medicine to prevent fleas and heartworm.

We have had visitors with other dogs that he has been quite friendly with and he is always happy to meet new people.  He has lived well with other friendly dogs before.  He does well living outside and is not house trained.  He is very fiendly to new people on walks, even children.  I have not seen him be agressive towards people.

Barron is a sweet, mellow guy and would benefit from more attention. New 06.16.2009
